Self-Interest Part 3 (Local Government)

Aligning the interest of the citizens to the interest of the nation starts from the local government level. Local towns should be autonomous, and be allowed to manage their own affairs and budgets. As it exists today, decisions are made for the towns by people who have no vested interests in those towns. Some do not even drive through the towns under their responsibility.
Government and individual politics at the local level act as good training grounds for future national politicians.
